Our overhead petal/fan/light diffuser survey ended September 30th. There were 107 votes: 77 votes to keep the petals. 30 votes to remove them. Pro comment reasons included: aesthetics, less glare, noise absorption, privacy, coziness, shade from heat, will look unfinished. Con reasons were: too much clutter, blocks too much light. One commenter said the first floor can be dark around the workstations in the towers but the second and third floors offer light directly overhead. A "pro petal" commenter advised we clean them. We agree and have entered a service request to Campus Facility Services. We will also work with CFS to try to adjust the first floor lighting in the towers. Thanks to all for your input!
