Mirian Ramirez Research Metrics LibrarianWelcome Mirian Ramirez to the Ruth Lilly Medical Library at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Mirian received her bachelor's degree in librarianship from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and holds a master's degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. She has worked at the Central Bank of Venezuela and the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA). Most recently, Mirian worked at the Library of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), in Santiago, Chile, where she was responsible for collection development and for the library training program.

She joins the team at the Ruth Lilly Medical Library as a Research Metrics Librarian, where she will investigate and provide researcher support for analysis, use, and emerging applications of scholarly research impact metrics. You can visit her in her office at IB 325.

In her spare time, she loves enjoying nature and outdoor activities, cooking and watercolor painting.
