The Midwest Chapter of the Medical Library Association (MWCMLA) brings together librarians specializing in health sciences disciplines or health sciences librarianship. Just last fall, at the 2025 Midwest Chapter of the Medical Library Association Virtual Annual Conference, our Ruth Lilly Medical Librarians were recognized for excellence and received multiple awards:
The Excellence in Research Award: Paper Presentation was awarded to the presentation titled “Campus-Wide Examination of Evidence Synthesis Publication Output”, authored by RLML librarians Cecelia J. Perkins-Vetter and Hannah J. Craven, RLML staff member Renee K. Wanke, and IU Indianapolis Health Sciences Librarian Rachel J. Hinrichs. The team examined evidence synthesis publications by IUSM and IU Indianapolis authors to identify projects that included a librarian co-author and assess future training needs for librarians supporting evidence synthesis projects.
The Fan Favorite Award went to the paper presentation titled, “Tracking Medical Resident Publications: Insights for Library Services and Graduate Medical Education Support”. Authored by RLML librarians Julia C. Stumpff, Mirian Ramirez, and Rick Ralston, this presentation analyzed publications by IUSM residents so the library can better support future resident scholarship.
Congratulations to our award-winning librarians!
