Request Articles & Books
The Ruth Lilly Medical Library’s Content Management and Delivery Department will request articles and books not owned by the Library for the IU School of Medicine faculty, staff and students using ILLiad. If you are not familiar with article/book request or with ILLiad, please take a few moments to review our Frequently Asked Questions.
If you are not an IU School of Medicine faculty, staff or student, you can order articles and books from the Ruth Lilly Medical Library for a fee. This service is only available to Indiana health professionals and Indiana not-for-profit entities for private study, scholarship, or research. Please complete the Indiana Health Professional ILLiad Application.
By placing a request you agree to follow copyright law
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." (If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
