The Nexus Collaborative Learning Lab

3D Printing
3D print charging begins September 6th, 2022. For free 3D printing, make an appointment with the Makerspace. The 3D Printing Lab is located in the Nexus II in Room 208. There are four FDM printers (TAZ Pro, Ultimaker 3 Extended, and Raise3D Pro2 Plus) as well as an Elegoo Mars 2 Pro LCD Resin Printer. Virtual Reality
The Reality Lab is a collaboration between the library and the UITS Advanced Visualization Lab and consists of four high end gaming PCs with HTC Vive Virtual Reality headsets. For more information about VR in medicine and the Reality Lab’s offerings, please refer to our Virtual and Augmented Reality LibGuide. To schedule a session with a tech team member to be introduced to VR, please email the team at rlmltech@iu.edu.

IQ Visualization Wall
The IQ Wall is a collaboration between the library and the UITS Advanced Visualization Lab. The IQ Wall has a 7680 x 2160 resolution, more than 17 million pixels, and is 16 feet wide. All that screen real estate is great for group work and for visualizing large data sets. The IQ Wall is also touch enabled and is capable of displaying multiple computer sources at once utilizing Solstice. A video conferencing system with an auto tracking camera allows for collaboration with colleagues at IU School of Medicine’s campuses across the state.
