Ruth Lilly Medical Library’s Amy Blevins, MALS, has been honored with the prestigious Trustees' Teaching Award. This award recognizes faculty who have consistently exhibited excellence in teaching and have made significant contributions to the education mission of the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Since 2017, Amy has led a dedicated team that developed learning objectives and integrated Evidence-based Medicine (EBM) into the longitudinal undergraduate medical curriculum. In 2022/2023, Amy became the statewide course co-director for Preparing for Professional Practice 1 and 2 courses. In 2023/2024 she led the course management team in creating the new Health System Science 1 and 2 courses. She has also served as a small group facilitator leading journal clubs for medical students. Her advocacy for EBM and commitment to teaching critical appraisal skills have equipped students with the necessary tools for lifelong learning and professional growth. Congratulations, Amy!
