The Ruth Lilly Medical Library is pleased to announce a new addition to the History of Medicine Collection that is now open for research.
The C. Everett Koop Interview Materials and Related Correspondence (1995-1996, 2012) collection contains audio recordings, transcripts, and related materials from Stephen J. Jay, M.D.'s 1995 interview with former U.S. Surgeon General C. Everett Koop, M.D. for an article ("A Conversation with C. Everett Koop, M.D.") published in the March/April 1996 special issue (Indiana Physicians Confront the Tobacco Epidemic) of Indiana Medicine: The Journal of the Indiana State Medical Association. The collection also includes correspondence between Drs. Jay, Koop, and former Indiana Governor and U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Otis R. Bowen, M.D.
