Q: What do I need to login/access the Medical Library’s resources?
A: All active IU School of Medicine faculty, staff and students who have an IU network ID (username and passphrase) are able to access Medical Library resources.
Options for access:
Authenticate using your IU School of Medicine username, passphrase, and DUO to access the resource.
Search the IU directory; if listed, then an IU School of Medicine network ID should already be established. For assistance with activating your account or resetting the passphrase, contact HTS (Health Technology Services) at 317-274-5336.
Some of the Ruth Lilly Medical Library’s mobile apps require periodic logins from an IU School of Medicine wireless network or the VPN in order to continue using the app on your mobile device.
University Information Technology Services (UITS) categorizes students as Applicant, Admitted or Enrolled. Access to library resources is granted when one’s status is Enrolled. Enrollment status usually occurs on the first day of class and is determined by UITS. Contact the Ruth Lilly Medical Library’s Content Management & Delivery Services Department at 317-274-7184.
Alumni are not able to obtain an IU network ID and passphrase that allows for access to Ruth Lilly Medical Library resources due to licensing and copyright restrictions.
