Finding Full Text with the EZproxy Bookmarklet
Best choice when: Browsing journal articles directly on journal websites.
The EZproxy Bookmarklet is a bit of code (javascript), that you store as a bookmark in your web browser. Whatever browser you use, the bookmarklet works best in a toolbar, so that you can easily click it while viewing the page with the article abstract and full-text link.
- You will need to copy the bookmarklet code
- Then create a bookmark in your browser and replace the URL/link with the copied code (paste)
- Name the bookmark "Bookmarklet" or "RLML bookmarklet" - something you'll easily identify and save in the browser toolbar where you can easily click on it.
- Search! When you find an article and would access the full text, click the bookmarklet in your toolbar. You will then be logged in through the Library proxy (you may be prompted for your IU credentials). Your original page should now be able to access Full-Text - as long as the resource is one we have a paid subscription to.
Visit the EZproxy Bookmarklet page for instructions specific to each browser.
