POCUS - Point of Care Ultrasound
Both faculty and students may request the use of POCUS equipment at the Ruth Lilly Library. Equipment can be checked out up to 2 hours but must stay in the library at all times. The Ruth Lilly Library provides a private room specifically equipped to practice scanning POCUS exams. Please ask the circulation desk to direct you to the POCUS scan room when you pick up the equipment. For longer-term check out of POCUS equipment, please contact Jean Davis at davisjed@iu.edu.
Reserve POCUS Equipment & Room
Per IU School of Medicine policy, students may use this equipment for educational purposes only. Student use in the clinical setting without direct faculty supervision is strictly prohibited. Volunteer student ‘patients’ must have signed the Ultrasound Education Information Sheet and Consent Form available through MSAS. No exceptions.
