Ruth Lilly Medical Library's Cecelia Vetter, MLIS, has been honored with the prestigious Trustee's Teaching Award. This award recognizes faculty who have consistently exhibited excellence in teaching and have made significant contributions to the education mission of the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Cecelia joined the library faculty in 2021 and has since demonstrated her commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. In her role as the Medical Education and Student Engagement librarian, she has developed high-quality asynchronous tutorials focused on critical appraisal topics. In her role as the liaison to the Bloomington campus, she has delivered critical appraisal sessions for Transitions 1 and 2, Foundations in Clinical Practice 1, and Health System Science Years 1 and 2. Additionally, she serves as a small group facilitator for Health System Sciences 2. Her advocacy for evidence-based medicine and dedication to teaching critical appraisal skills have provided students with essential tools for lifelong learning and professional development.
