Renee Wanke joined the Ruth Lilly Medical Library in June of 2024 as Circulation Supervisor. Just one year later, she has moved into a brand new role as Library Instruction and Event Coordinator. In her new role she will be assisting the RLML liaison medical librarians with instructional design resources, coordinate classes and orientations, and provide in-person, email and telephone assistance to medical students and faculty in the new MERB library space - as well as the RLML space as needed.
Renee is currently working on her MLIS degree at IU. She is from Montana and moved to the midwest for college where she graduated from Washington Univerity in St. Louis with a BA in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and minored in math. In college she worked at the main library on campus all four years, and was a leader for Calculus II Peer Led Team Learning (PLTL) for two years. She also tutored and had a management role for College Tutors of Indiana.
Renee has excelled and will be missed in her role as circulation supervisor, but we are excited to see what she will create in her new role!
Congratulations Renee!!
