This will be a relaxed and welcoming event where you can meet the Ruth Lilly Medical Library Research Team, including Research Impact Librarian, Mirian Ramirez; our Scholarly Communications Librarian, Hannah Craven; and the new Assistant Director for Data & Research Education, Brittney Thomas. Ms. Thomas is excited to leverage her experience in grants management and project management to help the medical library continue to support IUSM’s mission to advance health in the state of Indiana and beyond through research. The Medical Library Research Team helps IUSM accelerate discovery and clinical translation by partnering with researchers to
- Provide support in writing grant proposals to increase the amount of funding IUSM receives and ensure compliance with federal funding policies
- Improve research reproducibility through data management methods and tools
- Maximize researcher’s scholarly presence by prioritizing open scholarship methods for a community-first, open approach to knowledge sharing.
- Measure and communicate research impact to demonstrate the impact of IUSM research on Indiana and beyond.
